Shannon's Hate For Tom Brady Is Getting Out Of Control!

Who is Shannon Sharpe?

Shannon Sharpe is one of the greatest tight ends of all-time. He finished his illustrious career with 815 receptions for over 10000 receiving yards and 62 touchdowns. He won three Super Bowl rings in his fourteen-year career, as he won two with the Denver Broncos in 1996 and 1997, and one with the Baltimore Ravens in 2000. Many say that he made the tight-end position more exciting than it was before he came into the league. He wasn't just a great player, he was a great leader too. Sharpe got his teammates ready for the game by giving out inspiring speech and motivating them to play their best.

Many people will tell you that Shannon Sharpe is a very good person overall. I find his personality amazing and funny. Back in the spring of 2016, when I heard Skip Bayless will be leaving ESPN for FS1 to do a sports show with Shannon Sharpe, I wasn't so excited about it. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Skip Bayless and Stephen A Smith for the show First Take on ESPN. However, after the first two months of Skip Bayless new show Undisputed, with Shannon Sharpe, I actually started to enjoy Skip and Shannon more than I enjoyed Skip and Stephen A!

Shannon Sharpe knows his football, knows how to break down the game of football and basketball to his viewers, and he knows how to make us laugh. More and more I got to watch Shannon on Undisputed, more I started to admire him. However, since February of 2018, right after Super Bowl 52, Shannon Sharpe has been annoying me and many of his fans with his analysis on Tom Brady. He won't admit it, but with his recent takes, it seems like that Shannon is enjoying hating on Tom Brady.

Why do I think Shannon hates Brady?

Who do you find more impressive of the two quarterbacks reaching the 500 Touchdown milestone? Tom Brady or Drew Brees? Shannon's answer Brees.

Who is the better quarterback today? Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers? Shannon's answer Rodgers.

Who is the greatest quarterback of all-time? Tom Brady or Joe Montana? Shannon's answer Montana.

Who deserves more credit for Patriots' dynasty? Tom Brady or Bill Belichick? Shannon's answer Belichick.

Before I tell you why each of Shannon's answer is wrong, I want you to think for a second of all four of Shannon's answers. What do you take out of his answers? For all four of them, he is going against Brady. I mean it is okay to go against a player in a case or two, but to not give him the nod in all four cases seems odd. Right?

Tom Brady is the answer to all the questions!

Drew Brees is a great quarterback, and to reach a 500 Touchdown milestone is an amazing accomplishment. Once he does it, he will be the fourth player to reach this amazing feat. However, tell me exactly how it is more impressive to throw for the same amount of touchdowns in more attempts than the other person? Coming into this week, Brady needed three touchdowns to get to the 500th mark, and Brees still needs four touchdowns to get there. However, it took 515 fewer career passes for Brady to throw one more touchdown pass than Brees. According to numbers, Brady is likely to throw more touchdowns than Drew Brees in the same amount of passes. Shannon says Brees defense never helps him out, and he has to bring them back from a big hole in almost every game. Wait, when Brees and his team is down big, shouldn't he get more opportunities to throw the ball? Brees has thrown more touchdown passes in garbage time than Brady has. Nothing against Brees, but Brady is the answer here.

Aaron Rodgers is another all-time quarterback. Is he a better athlete than Tom Brady? He certainly is. Is he a better thrower of football than Tom Brady is? I'll say he is. But is he a better quarterback than Tom Brady? Let's not talk career here because Tom Brady is way ahead of Rodgers career-wise. Let's talk who has been better in the last four years. Since the day Aaron Rodgers was named the most valuable player of the league for the second time in 2014, Brady has finished second in MVP voting twice, won an MVP award, has led his team to a 39-9 regular season record, and he has led them to a 6-2 playoff record. Oh, he did win two Super Bowls with two Super Bowl MVPs. Now let's see what Rodgers has done since the day he won his second MVP award. Rodgers in 2015, didn't finish in the top four for the league MVP voting, and in 2016, he finished third in the MVP voting. Rodgers has led his team to a 24-15 record in the last three regular seasons, and in the playoffs, his record is 3-2. If you are wondering about how many Super Bowls and Super Bowl MVPs he has won since 2014, the answer to both of those questions is zero. So Rodgers can throw beautiful passes and all, but when its time to win big games, I want Brady to throw the ball because I know he will be more successful than Rodgers.

You want some more stat comparisons between the two from the last three seasons? Okay:-

  - Tom Brady has 12901 passing yards to Rodgers 9,924 passing yards.
  - Tom Brady has 96 touchdowns passes to Rodgers 87 touchdowns.
  - Tom Brady has 17 interceptions, while Rodgers has 21 interceptions.
  - Tom Brady has a passer rating of 105.73 to Rodgers 98.03.

Tom Brady is still the best quarterback playing today!

Tom Brady and Joe Montana are my two favorite quarterbacks. I have Brady at one and Montana at two. Yes, Joe Montana has never lost a Super Bowl as he is 4-0, but Brady has five Super Bowl rings. Yes, Brady has three more Super Bowl losses, but he has played in four more Super Bowls than Montana has. We don't know what Montana would have done in his fifth Super Bowl appearance, in his sixth, seventh, or eight. Why? Because he didn't go to the Super Bowl after his fourth appearance. Tom Brady beats out Joe Montana in every regular season stat. Brady has eleven more playoff wins than Montana, as Brady is 27-10 and Montana is 16-7. Brady almost has twice more passing yards in the playoffs than Montana, as Brady has 10,226 yards, while Montana has 5772 yards. Brady also has more playoff touchdown passes than Montana, as Brady has 71 and Montana has 45. Shannon, last time I check, five Super Bowl wins are more than four Super Bowl wins. If Brady retires now, he's gonna finish his career with more Super Bowl rings and more Super Bowl MVPs than Montana. Montana was the greatest of all-time until Super Bowl 51. Brady is the GOAT!

Brady and Belichick. Who deserves more credit? I'll make this one short for you all. Belichick's overall record without Brady is 55-63. His record with Brady is 199-57. So in 250 plus games with Brady, he has six fewer losses than he has with all the other quarterbacks in less than 120 games. What does that tell you? Shannon, you bring up Belichick going 11-5 with Matt Cassel? Why don't you bring up Belichick going 5-11 with Drew Bledsoe? Drew Bledsoe was the highest paid quarterback at that time. Belichick without Brady was not even an average coach. Oh, one more thing! He has 27 playoff wins with Brady, and only one playoff win without him. I say Brady deserves more credit for the Pats dynasty than Belichick.

Shannon was not always a Brady-Hater.

"In the 97-year history of the NFL, Tom Brady is the greatest player of all-time. There is no more argument." These words came out of Mr. Sharpe's mouth after Tom Brady and the Patriots won their fifth Super Bowl against the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl 51, the year 2017.

Fast forward to the day following Super Bowl 52, after Tom Brady won the regular season MVP by leading his Patriots to a 13-3 record and leading the league in passing yards, after he won two more playoff games, and after he lost the Super Bowl 33-41, in which he threw for a playoff record 505 yards, Shannon says Joe Montana is the greatest player of all-time. Shannon Sharpe. Please tell us, what Montana did in his retirement to surpass Tom Brady as the greatest player of all-time? Nothing!

Stop it with your hate for Tom Brady. You are better than this Shay Sharpe!

Who Is Going To Be The Green Bay Packers' New Coach?

Last year, the Green Bay Packers missed the playoffs for the first time in nine years. The reason why they couldn't make it to the postseason was that Aaron Rodgers, missed the majority of the season after he suffered an injury in a week six matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. However this year, with Rodgers having played every single game in the season so far, the Packers are 4-7-1 after twelve games. They just lost to the Arizona Cardinals who have a rookie quarterback under center. With that loss, the Packers are now only one loss away from missing the playoffs in back to back years. Last time the Green Bay Packers missed the playoffs in back to back years was in 2005 and 2006.   Oh, following the loss to the Cardinals, the Green Bay Packers' fired their long-time head coach, Mike McCarthy.   All the blame for the Packers being this bad went to Mike McCarthy and the defense. Some of the blame did go to the Packers' running game, but that's about it. Peo

Wildcard Round Was Fun, But The Playoffs Are About To Get Better!

Last week was a good week of football. But you know, that was just the beginning. Rarely teams from the wild-card weekend go on to win Super Bowls. Last time a team that participated in the wild-card round and won a Super Bowl was the Baltimore Ravens from 2012. Is there any chance that a team from the wild-card round could win a Super Bowl this year? In my opinion, there are three teams from the wild-card round, who could win it all. The LA Chargers, Dallas Cowboys, and the defending champs, the Philadelphia Eagles. All three teams won their respective wild-card matchups this past week. Let's talk about their path to Super Bowl this year. Dallas Cowboys   So how good are the Dallas Cowboys? They are very good. They are not an elite team, but they can play elite football on certain nights. The Cowboys' defense is really good. Their offense is just above average. Not saying Dak Prescott is an average or a below average quarterback, they just don't have enough playma

What If Calvin Johnson Didn't Retire?

Since 2015, most of the NFL World has been debating whether Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, or Odell Beckham Jr. is the best receiver in the game. Mind you, 2015 was the last season that Calvin Johnson played. According to me, Calvin Johnson was the best receiver until his last season! That guy was big and fast. Calvin Johnson at 6'5, 237 pounds, was able to do everything one could ask a receiver to do. I started watching football in 2010. Calvin was the receiver who caught my eye. Time after time, I saw him double covered and then him beating the coverage to catch the ball for a big gain. There were times when he was triple-covered and he still made a play. I doubt there was a corner, who wasn't scared of him. How do you stop someone so big, strong, and fast? You can't! You just can't stop this beast! However, Calvin chose to retire at the age of 30, after playing nine seasons. He retired after six straight seasons with over 1000 receiving yards. It didn't seem l
