What If Calvin Johnson Didn't Retire?

Since 2015, most of the NFL World has been debating whether Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, or Odell Beckham Jr. is the best receiver in the game. Mind you, 2015 was the last season that Calvin Johnson played. According to me, Calvin Johnson was the best receiver until his last season! That guy was big and fast. Calvin Johnson at 6'5, 237 pounds, was able to do everything one could ask a receiver to do. I started watching football in 2010. Calvin was the receiver who caught my eye. Time after time, I saw him double covered and then him beating the coverage to catch the ball for a big gain. There were times when he was triple-covered and he still made a play. I doubt there was a corner, who wasn't scared of him. How do you stop someone so big, strong, and fast? You can't! You just can't stop this beast! However, Calvin chose to retire at the age of 30, after playing nine seasons. He retired after six straight seasons with over 1000 receiving yards. It didn't seem l

My Top Ten Running Backs In The NFL!

A good running game is significant to every offense in the NFL. A good running game is considered to be a quarterback's best friend. However, if you don't have a superstar running back today, it doesn't mean you can't go to the Super Bowl and win it. New England Patriots won Super Bowl 49 and 51 with an average running game. Their featured running backs in those Super Bowls were Shane Vereen and James White. Those two have never been considered as one of the top twenty running backs in the league. A good running game is still important. It certainly helps young quarterbacks when they enter the league and have to deal with the tough pro-style defenses. Without a good running game, those young quarterbacks would force a lot of passes, make mistakes, and then lose confidence. Dak Prescott and Jared Goff might not have been as good of quarterbacks as they are if they didn't have star running backs in their offenses.   Gregg Rosenthal, who writes and reports fo

Trades To Be Considered By The Contenders.

We expect trades from few teams by mid-season every year. Last year, it was the Philadephia Eagles who by mid-season made the trade for Miami Dolphins' running back, Jay Ajayi. That trade turned out to be really good for the Eagles, as Ajayi is one of the most established running backs in the league, and he along with LeGarrette Blount, created a nice 1-2 punch for the running combo. Another reason why Ajayi trade was so good for the Eagles was because the Eagles didn't have to give much to get him. In my opinion, they just stole him from the Dolphins for a fourth-round pick. Without Ajayi, it would have been really difficult for the Eagles to make a deep run in the playoffs and then win the Super Bowl. So, are we going to see a trade like Ajayi to Eagles this year by a contender? As every contender has one or two holes to fill, we are more than likely going to see a game-changing trade from one or two contenders. Let's go over some possible trades for the 2018 cont

NFL Players Should Not Follow LeBron's Way.

LeBron James is now a Laker!   On Sunday, July 1st, 2018, LeBron James brought some complications to my life. I have been rooting for the Los Angeles Lakers since the 2008 Finals (Finals which they lost 4-2 to the Celtics). I'm a Laker fan because of Kobe Bryant. I became a fan of NBA because of Kobe Bryant. When I first saw him play, it was against the Boston Celtics in the 2008 NBA Finals. I watched Kobe Bryant and the Lakers lose to the Boston Celtics pretty badly. No, he didn't get swept by the Celtics, but Kobe and the Lakers were no match to the Celtics. It was surprising how Kobe and the Lakers managed to win two games against the Celtics. In a losing effort, Kobe Bryant taught me a lesson. He taught me to never doubt yourself. To never quit on yourself or on your teammates. His play and effort during those Finals convinced me to never stop trying and always look for ways to win against tough situations. As soon as the 2008 Finals came to an end, I said to myself t
